A traditional garlic salt blend with a spooky twist. This Turkeywoods Farm favorite blends our farm-harvested ghost chili peppers with sea salt and ground garlic. The heat factor is not overwhelming but adds a nice spark that goes well just about everything. Try it on eggs, baked squash, sweet corn, salad, fresh vegetables, popcorn, garlic bread, or use as a dry rub.
NOTE: we have turned away from the plastic sifter jars in favor of glass jars. While the glass jars don't have a sifter feature, we've found that the glass jars seal better and do a better job of excluding moisture which can cause the sea salt to cake in the container. The glass jars are also healthier--we can all do with less microplastic contamination in our food. Finally, the glass jars are more readily available at a lower cost, which we can pass on to the customer. If your salt does eventually cake up in the container, it can simply be scraped with a fork or re-dried in the oven at 170 °F for 30-60 minutes, then ground back into a powder with a mortar and pestle.
