The health benefits of comfrey are well known.(2) Comfrey contains the natural
phytochemical allantoin which promotes vibrant, heathy skin. Comfrey reportedly
promotes cell growth, and wound healing, and also reduces muscle pain and
inflammation including back pain. Comfrey has been touted as a treatment for acne and inflammation. Charcoal promotes healthy skin through cleansing and detoxification. Essential tee tree oil has antifungal and antibacterial effects.

Soap Ingredients
Comfrey is grown organically on our farm in Groton/Mystic, CT and is combined with olive, coconut, palm, and castor oils in a traditional hand-crafted saponification process. Olive oil softens and moisturizes the skin; coconut oil produces a cleansing soap; palm oil hardens the bar for longer life, and castor oil balances it all to give a rich lather.
